MY BUCKET LIST CRUISE!!
Since we began our adventures with Disney Cruise Line, I’ve always had my eye on the Southern Itinerary. Every time I looked at it and seen St. Lucia I would almost drool! We never ever booked it because it sails from San Juan, Puerto Rico and I just assumed that would be a trip in itself with costs. I was WRONG (that’s rare haha)! I was researching for our upcoming vacation and we wanted something for Winter and voila…Southern is usually in January! I didn’t know at the time how I was going to make this trip work but I was determined to get us to St. Lucia! I looked at flights and I couldn’t believe how cheap they were to fly into San Juan. It was decided and booked. We had a placeholder (I will explain what that is in another post) from the previous sailing so with our discount we got a pretty good deal.
Back-2-Back sailing??? Why not?? I was browsing the Disney Site and noticed that after our 7-Night Southern cruise, the Disney Wonder was doing a 4-night Eastern Repositioning Cruise back to Port Canaveral. Hmmmm “11 nights on a Disney Cruise” is all I was thinking about. I mentioned it to Kerry and he was in…whoot! whoot! We were then booked on 2 cruises back-2-back! We got in contact with our new cruising friends from our last cruise and they booked it too! The excitement was killing us!!
A few months before our cruise a hurricane went through the Caribbean wiping out our Port of San Juan! Talk about nervous! We didn’t know if we were going to make the cruise or not but Disney kept reassuring us that we would. Sure enough we were in the clear!
January 26th we were off to San Juan, Puerto Rico to start our grand adventure.

I will write about each day because we did some pretty amazing excursions and The Disney Wonder did not disappoint. The level of service we received was beyond our expectations. This trip was the BEST yet and if I ever go missing, look for me in St. Lucia because that is my new favorite place. I knew watching The Bachelor was good for something after all because that’s where I discovered this amazing place. I wanted to try the mud baths that they did, wait until you see our pics!
